Viennese born Gerhard Track is an exuberant master of music and of life.
He began his musical carrer as member of the world famous Vienna Boys Choir and became its youngest conductor with 19 years. He studied at the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. One of his most distinguished teachers was Hans Swarowsky (orchestra conducting). One of Track’s class-mates was f.e. Zubin Meta.

His mentors in Choral conducting were Ferdinand Grossmann, the leading choral specialist in Austria, Hans Gillesberger and Reinhold Schmid.

… nothing has to be said about Track’s international reputation at the conductor’s rostrum. His many years in the USA as “Austria’s musical ambassador”, his numerous albums are proof enough - of his both effective and subtle way of conducting when performing the great compositions of all musical eras, as well as his acclaimed composing activities.
